Bruno in Rome

In 1088 Eudes De Chatillon, who had been a student of Bruno in Reims, becomes Pope with the name of Urban II. He doesn’t forget his master. He desires to have near him an exceptional mind like Bruno, who in the meantime lives happily in the isolated Charterhouse.

He wants him in Rome. Bruno cannot disobey him and so he reaches him.
